PASTORAL DEPARTMENT
Pastoral Ministry is the one of the oldest programmes in the Diocese. Its main objective is to increase Pastoral development within the parishes and the entire Diocese as a whole. This is and must always be the focus of our energies.
The office is headed by the Pastoral Coordinator who is also the Vicar General, Very Rev. Fr. Robert Mutui. He is assisted in several programmes by a team of the following persons:
Bookshop: Acting bookshop manager , Sophia Musingi, and two assistants (Peninah Piliph and Gregory Ngumbau)
Pastoral Office/ Communications/ Printing/Empowerment programme: Felistus Mutei (Communications/ Administrative secretary); Michael Kyenze (Project Officer ? Empowerment programme), Boniface Mulinge (Printer); Steve Mulwa (Assistant printer)
In undertaking the pastoral ministry, several programmes and projects have been developed and initiated under the pastoral office including: Catechetical programme, Small Christian Communities, Leadership and Empowerment, Diocesan Catholic Bookshop, Pastoral and retreat centre, street children programme.
