The Friends of Kitui (Ireland) are supporting the Diocese to relocate St. Michael Boarding primary School from Its current site in Kitui Town, to outskirts of the town, Near Syongila Junction, along Kitui - Nairobi Road.
This relocation has been neccesitated by the fact the current site is too crowded. The site houses a School for the Deaf, A Vocational training centre, and St. Michael school.
The Friends of Kitui, ( Contact Persons: Aidan Corless/ Pat torpey) have been very supportive of the diocese, not only in this project, but also in several Education projects ;Water project; women empowerment; communication; among others.

The buildings currently under construction include:
- An Administration/ Classrooms block, which is on its second floor, with one more floor up under construction.
- Two hostel Blocks, A and B, whose second floors under construction;
- Kitchen Block, whose ground floor slab has been fitted.
