This is the Administration/classroom block.      This is the dining Hall/Conference. One part of the Hall is  already roofed whille the other part is at roofing stage. Boys hostel (Dormitory) which is around 2 metres away from the Girls hostels. Girls Hostel.

Saturday, February 07, 2009 Friends of Kitui Visit Kitui The Friends of Kitui have been visiting the diocese this week   Pat Torpey, Mr. Aidan Corless, Mr. D. Dirmund and Fr. Arthur from Archdiocese of Dublin have been visiting several projects in Kitui diocese supported by Friends of Kitui (Ireland)   The friends of Kitui have been supporting among others, water, education, children sponsorship and women empowerment projects in the diocese.   Among the notables projects include the St. Michael School being constructed near Syongila junction, five kilometers from Kitui town.   The purpose for this project is to decongest the current site of St. Michael school in Kitui town, which also houses three other different institutions, including a school for the deaf, a polytechnic and a kindergarten.   Other projects include the women empowerment project which include hand craft projects/ soap making in Zombe parish and Honey project in several parishes   Also visited has been Kyuso Parish, which has twined with Rathgar Parish in Archdiocese of Dublin, a partnership that has seen water and goats projects initiated in the parish.   During a courtesy call to Rt. Rev. Anthony Muheria, the Bishop of Kitui expressed deep gratitude to the partnership between the diocese and friends of Kitui.   This was the first time Bishop Muheria was meeting friends of Kitui representatives since he was installed in August Last year.

The Friends of Kitui (Ireland) are supporting the Diocese to relocate St. Michael Boarding primary School from Its current site in Kitui Town, to outskirts of the town, Near Syongila Junction, along Kitui - Nairobi Road. This relocation has been neccesitated by the fact the current site is too crowded. The site houses a School for the Deaf, A Vocational training centre, and St. Michael school. The Friends of Kitui, ( Contact Persons: Aidan Corless/ Pat torpey) have been very supportive of the diocese, not only in this project, but also in several Education projects ;Water project; women empowerment; communication; among others. On this web page; We bring you photographic updates of the construction at St. Michael, syogila The buildings currently under construction include: An Administration/ Classrooms block, which is on its second floor, with one more floor up under construction. Two hostel Blocks, A and B, whose second floors under construction; Kitchen Block, whose ground floor slab has been fitted. Upon its completion, the block will have Four floors: Ground, First, Second and Third. It will house the Class rooms and Administration Block
