The office is headed by the Pastoral Coordinator  Rev. Fr. Joseph Kongo who is assisted in several programmes by a team of various people.

The pastoral department, under the direction of the diocesan pastoral Coordinator, supervises all pastoral activities within the diocese and acts as a point of contact between the diocese, metropolitan, and national offices. The goal of the Pastoral Department is to support pastoral development in parishes and the diocese as a whole. It exists to support parish empowerment, care for priests, and formation of priests. The Diocesan Pastoral Strategic Plan serves as the office’s primary directive.

In undertaking the pastoral ministry, several programmes and projects have been developed and initiated under the pastoral office including: Catechetical programme, Small Christian Communities, Leadership and Empowerment, Diocesan Catholic Bookshop, Pastoral and retreat centre, street children programme
